to constellation.
We started with one AI assistant on one Mac and a fairly ordinary question: could this actually help run a life?
Eight months later there was a messaging app, a solar controller, wildlife reels, websites and rather more wiring than expected. This is how the spark travelled.

02 February · the solo era
One Bee, trying to remember everything.
The first useful bit was not cleverness. It was remembering yesterday: memory files, daily notes and a way to keep work moving.

03 March–April · specialists
So the work found different hands.
Building, design, research, scouting and review became named roles. They are tools, not a workforce — just a practical way to stop asking one assistant to be good at everything at once.

The first proper things appeared: BeeChat foundations, BeeChat Mobile, the Adventures in AI concept lab, and Beelinks — a knowledge graph now holding 1,582 entities.
04 May–June · the unlock
The specialists learnt to pass the work along.
AgentDrop connected the roles across two Macs and three AI providers, with inspectable threads and a tamper-evident ledger. Useful plumbing, as plumbing goes.
The mesh was not the destination. It was the thing that helped the Solar Dashboard, wildlife pipeline and Adventures in AI move from ideas into working systems.
05 July–August · what took shape
Somehow, it became a portfolio.
Not a grand empire. Just a surprisingly varied collection of things that work, things we use, and a few things made to help people we care about.
Things we use and keep building
A connected knowledge graph with 1,582 entities.
Solar and battery control on Octopus Flux, estimated around £200–£220 a year for this one home.
Ring clips become a short morning reel: foxes, hedgehogs, badgers and the occasional mystery blob.
A three-times-daily digest, alongside research and Twitter scouts.

06 August–September · a heartbeat
The work carries on when the screen is shut.
Email checks run every 30 minutes. Scouts look for useful signals. AgentPulse arrives three times a day. Overnight hand-offs leave the next piece ready for morning.
